This new class speeds the counseling process by providing most of the information clients need to solve their mortgage problems on their own. As a follow up, clients may contact a counselor by e-mail or phone, and can still schedule a face-to-face appointment if necessary. FAQ Clients have had many questions about this program. This FAQ section addresses them. Why can't I just schedule an appointment to meet with a counselor? Actually, you can. The problem is that the overwhelming need for our services has created a significant scheduling backlog. The Mortgage Zone classes offer a way to address many of our client needs in a very timely fashion. You may be able to take action based on the class information and be in better shape financially instead of waiting for a live appointment. My situation is unique. How will a class help me? We have found, over the years, that most of our clients have problems that fall into just a few categories. At the class, we offer very focused tips to deal with mortgage issues. At least 75% of our individudal client session content is addressed in the classes. I don't want to wait a long time to attend a class. How frequently are they held? We offer a two hour class every other Wednesday, with starting times at 6 pm. Our experience has shown this to be the most popular time. We are flexible and can add classes if demand requires. What if the class does not solve my problems? If we do not address your specific concerns at the class, you will have the opportunity to e-mail the instructor for a follow up. During this exchange you and the counselor can determine if you would benefit from a face-to-face appointment. If so, your counselor will schedule an appointment for you on a next available basis. If I need a face-to-face appointment, isn't it faster to just schedule one at the beginning of the process? Actually, no. Because of the appointment backlog, it is highly probable that you can attend a class, talk on the phone with a counselor, and actually meet with that counselor in a shorter time than if you scheduled an appointment at the beginning with the receptionist. In fact, the class prepares you for filling out HAMP loan modification application forms properly and laying the background for a face-to-face session, so the eventual meeting with the counselor will be very efficient and allow you to spend all of your 90 minutes focusing on your key mortgage concerns. |
