Triangle Family Services has received a matching grant challenge of up to $100,000 from The Leon Levine Foundation based in Charlotte, N.C. This means that gifts made to TFS by June 30, 2018, will double the impact of that gift upon mental-health services TFS provides to the community. The gifts and match will also count towards the overall goal of $1 million raised during TFS’s partnership with Band Together.
TFS is one of the first nonprofits in the Triangle to embark upon a collaboration with The Leon Levine Foundation. Established in 1980 by Leon Levine, the founder of the first Family Dollar store in Charlotte, its mission is to improve the human condition by creating permanent, measurable and life-changing impact throughout the Carolinas. The Foundation invests in nonprofits with strong leadership, a successful track record and a focus on sustainability in the areas of healthcare, education, Jewish values and human services.
