In partnership with The North Carolina Housing Finance Agency
Foreclosure prevention assists homeowners who are facing the threat of foreclosure due to job loss or other temporary financial hardship, such as a divorce, serious illness, or death of a co-signor.
We may be able to help in one of three ways:
One-time assistance to bring your mortgage current
Short-term assistance while you are looking for a job
Long-term assistance while you participate in an approved job retraining program
Our Mortgage Payment Program provides financial assistance to eligible homeowners who are behind or at risk of becoming behind on their mortgage payments. To those who qualify, we can provide zero-interest loans of up to $36,000 to cover mortgage payments and related expenses for up to 36 months while homeowners search for or train for a new job.
Information sessions are typically held on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month at Triangle Family Services
1. Call to be screened over the phone for the program
2. Eligible homeowners will be invited to attend an information session to receive further details
