Lisa Lowe-Hall, MHA, President and Chief Executive Officer
Our President and CEO, Lisa Lowe-Hall, MHA is a 20-year veteran of the healthcare and nonprofit industries. She is a passionate Healthcare Administrator who brings a deep commitment to women’s and children’s services and ensuring accessible, affordable and safe healthcare delivery for all. Lisa has over 10 years of experience in the women and children’s health space, and she currently serves on the SAFEchild, Montessori School of Raleigh, and AABC board of directors working to remove barriers to women and children’s services. As part of the 2024 priorities at TFS, a strategic growth plan envisioned by Lisa to expand existing mental health services evolved into an innovative strategy to support women throughout the perinatal and postnatal period continuing our commitment and mission of strengthening individuals, families and the community as a whole!
Tatenda Perry, MSW, LCSW
Tatenda Perry, MSW, LCSW, serves as the Senior Director of Mental Health and Health Services. With over 13 years of experience as a mental health therapist and nonprofit leader, she brings a wealth of expertise in clinical services, leadership, and operations. Tatenda has a strong background in program management, regulatory compliance, and crisis intervention, and she is dedicated to improving the well-being of children and families. As a national leader in Mental Health and Child Welfare, Tatenda facilitates conversations, provides training, develops strategic plans, and offers consulting services across the country. She holds a Master of Social Work from Indiana University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Purdue University, and she is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Public Administration & Social Policy at the University of Illinois, Springfield. In addition to her clinical and operational expertise, Tatenda is a board member of the North Carolina Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW-NC), where she collaborates with stakeholders to promote advancements in social work practice and policy.
Emerald Rice, BSW, MA, IBCLC
Emerald Rice, BSW, MA, IBCLC obtained a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from North Carolina State University and a masters degree in Counseling from Liberty University. Emerald has documented her journey of motherhood and lactation on various platforms for the last 15 years. She creates social media content catered to breastfeeding support and education. She worked as a Breastfeeding Peer Counselor and Lactation educator many years ago, which solidified her love and dedication for facilitating peer support groups for minority populations. Emerald is an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant who also specializes in in-home and clinical based lactation care. Emerald is a mother of 5 and her personal lactation journeys allow her to empathize with the journeys of others while also striving to provide exceptional care.
